The LBA Business Road Trip- “Paving the Way to Success” for Member Business Owners to contract opportunities with Tropicana and the family of MGM Resorts International Companies, February 8-10, 2012- was a tremendous success, exceeding all expectations!

By the time all meetings had concluded, and it was time to come home, most participants of the LBA Business Road Trip to Las Vegas had gone on their own way. Shown above are the those taking the bus trip home, just prior to departing. A total of 42 LBA Member Business Owners participated in the LBA Business Road Trip to Las Vegas!

The Latin Business Association- in collaboration with corporate partner Tropicana, and MGM Resorts International- is proud to have presented this unparalleled opportunity, connecting our Member and Partner Member Business Owners to new business opportunities with the all-new Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel and Resort, Inc. and the family of fabulous MGM Resorts International Companies!

We thank Tropicana and MGM for their commitment to Supplier Diversity, magnanimous outreach and support and exemplary hospitality which made the LBA Business Road Trip to Las Vegas not only an outstanding success, but a truly memorable experience for all involved.

The LBA would especially like to thank all our family of participants – forty two business owners and professionals in all – for taking the time to join us. We congratulate you on taking advantage of this opportunity and look forward to your further success!

  • “I can’t tell you how pleased my partner and I were with the event from beginning to end…you guys did a fantastic job and superseded our expectations. The coordination and service were stellar.

I am so glad we have joined the LBA. We’ll definitely be attending future events. I have already told many of my associates in the Latino community that joining the LBA is a must do. From my experience, I have no doubts that any event you put on will be an event worth going to. I have already followed up with many of the contacts from the event and within the LBA group, and I’m sure we will have many business relationships developed from just this one event alone. I will keep you posted as they evolve. If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

A sincere thanks from my partner, Spencer Blua, and me. Bravo!”

  • “Our company, Dial 800, joined the LBA because of its impeccable reputation and because we saw the LBA as a potential key partner in our desire of growing our presence in the Hispanic Business Community. After participating in the LBA Business Road Trip to Las Vegas I am now certain we made the correct choice.

The LBA not only opened up doors to meet in person with decision making executives of large corporations that otherwise would be very hard to reach, but they also created a great environment of camaraderie and networking between the participants of the trip, amongst a superb organization of the trip.

I look forward to participating in upcoming events and growing our involvement in the LBA. In my opinion, a membership in the LBA is a must have for any Hispanic company or anyone trying to do business with Hispanic owned companies.”

  • I just can’t say enough about the LBA Las Vegas road trip. It gave us an opportunity to get together with people we are trying to do business with in Las Vegas and the bonus was meeting many of our own LBA Members that have growing businesses themselves and want to take them to the next level. We had that in common, but meeting with the Tropicana and MGM Resorts was the extra bonus we all needed to open doors to doing business with them. My firm can do so much for them, in the way of planning. We now have a communication with these Hotels and plan to meet with them in the near future. Road trips like this are very productive and fruitful in opportunities that we may have never had otherwise. My associate and I were very impressed with the organization of this event. We would not hesitate to go again, it was fun.

  • “The LBA Procurement Road Trip to Las Vegas on February 8 – 10, 2012 was definitely one of the better road trips in which I have ever participated. The trip was well-organized by Peter Beltran (AutoProgram Director) and Ruben Guerra (Chairman), which provided numerous business networking opportunities among the more than 30 LBA members on the bus, and then once we arrived in Las Vegas that’s where the fanfare and professional treatment began.

The supplier diversity procurement staff at the Tropicana and especially the MGM Grand really rolled out the red carpet and treated us like royalty. We were truly appreciated by everyone with whom we interfaced on the procurement teams. All LBA members in attendance were given an opportunity to market our products and services to all key personnel at the MGM Grand global procurement facilities as well as those from the Tropicana. We were provided an overview, made aware of their PAIN, their objectives, they wanted to know how each business present could solve their PAIN, and what features and benefits our products or services would provide their supplier diversity facilities.

There is a tremendous potential for great business opportunities and I am very excited. I have received a follow-up e-mail from one of the key procurement officers who seems to be very interested in some of the services Buchanan & Associates offers. Thank you LBA. I am ready to register for the next road trip series for the utilities tentatively scheduled for July 2012.”
