Timothy J. (Tim) McCallion
Timothy McCallion was named to his current position of Region President for Verizon in July 2000. In this position, Mr. McCallion is responsible for the corporate interests of Verizon in their West Area, encompassing the States of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. His responsibilities include government affairs, regulatory affairs, external affairs and community relations.
During his 38-year career with Verizon, Mr. McCallion has held a variety of management positions located in California, Hawaii, Indiana, Connecticut, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Mr. McCallion is actively involved with community-based and business organizations. He serves on the following boards of directors: the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce (2008 Board Chair), the California Foundation on the Environment and the Economy, the California Chamber of Commerce, Discovery Science Center Los Angeles and Asian Americans Advancing Justice. In 2006, he was appointed by then California Governor Schwarzenegger to serve on a Broadband Task Force. Mr. McCallion previously served as Chairman of the California Telephone Association, Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Ventura County Community Foundation and served several terms on the board of the Los Angeles Urban League.
He has a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Gannon University. Mr. McCallion and his wife, Anne, reside in Thousand Oaks, CA, with their two adult sons.
