California Small Business Day was first established in 2000 as a result of a unanimous vote in the California Assembly decreeing and honoring the contributions of Small Businesses to the State of California. Over the past decade the event has grown to be a very popular and well-attended luncheon where Senators and Assembly members honor a small business owner from their district.

Come join over 75 State Assembly members and legislators as they honor small businesses within their districts!

    Awards Luncheon: “A Salute to Small Business”– There will be more than 75 State Legislators honoring small businesses within their respective districts, with Emcee Ruben Guerra- Chairman & CEO of the Latin Business Association

    Afternoon: State Capitol Tours at 1:45 PM and 3:00 PM, hosted by the California Asian Chamber

    Networking Reception: An opportunity to get to know eachother and exchange small business successes and stories, hosted by the Latin Business Association

    About the CSBA

    The California Small Business Association is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that makes its mission to provide small business with a meaningful voice in state and federal governments.

    Our Duties

    • CSBA advocates views of small business to government officials – legislature, administration
    • CSBA communicates information to members regarding government programs in existence to assist small business
    • CSBA supports election campaigns of selected candidates
    • CSBA seeks appointments representation of small business owners on government commissions, boards panels, etc.

    Our Origin

    CSBA was founded as an outgrowth of the 1980 White House Conference on Small Business.
