A.J. Whitman has worked as a Trust Officer in Investment & Fiduciary Services in the Wells Fargo Long Beach Trust Center for the past six years, where she has diligently worked in the review and pre-acceptance of multiple trust and estate accounts. Prior to coming to Wells Fargo, Ms. Whitman worked for the Marketing & Sales Department of entertainment publication Variety. She also served as a law clerk on the felony docket for the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office.

A. J. has a passion around community and giving back. She volunteers regularly to present the Wells Fargo Hands-on Banking program that fosters financial literacy. Currently, she serves on the board of the Wells Fargo Team Member Groups as the Community Service Chair for the Black/African-American Connection and as the Co-Chair of the Women’s Team Member Network.

Outside of Wells Fargo, Ms. Whitman volunteers for various non-profits, such as The Midnight Mission, Mothers’ Club, Junior Achievement and College Summit. She also serves as a tutor and mentor in her church’s tutoring ministry; she has also served as a board member for a local charter school in Long Beach. A. J. is a member of the Black Women’s Lawyer Association of Los Angeles and a member of the NAACP Long Beach Chapter.

In addition, to working for Wells Fargo. Ms. Whitman is an Adjunct Professor at DeVry University’s Keller School of Business, where she teaches Business Law. She also spends time performing throughout Southern California as a stand-up comedienne.

A. J. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration, with a minor in Psychology and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Tulsa. She also was a visiting student at Southwestern University School of Law, where she concentrated on Entertainment Law. Ms. Whitman is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She crossed into the Theta Xi Chapter in the Spring of 1997.
