Elevating Entrepreneurs

A UBS Small Business Advisory Program- Los Angeles

Elevating Entrepreneurs is a philanthropic initiative between UBS and Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa’s Office of Economic & Business Policy (OEBP). The program provides entrepreneurs, who currently run high-growth companies with significant potential for job creation, with strategic financial and business counseling tailored to their individual needs. By expanding their knowledge and skill sets, Elevating Entrepreneurs aims to contribute not only to the success of its participating small businesses, but to the economic revitalization of Los Angeles broadly.

Participants will be paired with a UBS client who is a highly successful entrepreneur in their field, along with an experienced UBS Financial Advisor. Over the course of six months, the mentor teams will meet regularly to develop goals and plans that will help position the company for future success. In addition to one-on-one mentoring, participants will have access to the full resources of UBS, including two workshops focused on addressing the current challenges facing small businesses today.

Participants

This program is best suited for entrepreneurs who have already achieved significant success and are looking for advice and counsel on how to take their companies to the next level. Ideally, participating companies will have the following characteristics:

Please note, participating entrepreneurs must be willing to share current business plans and finances with their mentors and be open to hearing new ideas and perspectives. To that end, all parties involved in the program are required to sign confidentiality agreements.
