New Member Orientation

New Member Orientation Agenda
(Held every quarter in the evening hours)

The LBA New Member Orientation is designed to acquaint new LBA members with the association and membership benefits, and provide an opportunity to meet other members. Each orientation includes:

• An overview of member services, events and programs.
• Introduction to other new members.
• Membership Certificate and Plaque ceremony.
• Association’s governance, operating policies and procedures.
• Association’s history, culture, values and future plans.
• Incorporation of new members into the association.

The new member orientation seeks to motivate members to actively participate, invite other potential members, and become effective members who contribute towards a dynamic association.

Tentative Agenda *

5:00-5:30 p.m. – Registration and networking.
5:30-6:30 p.m. – Self-Introduction of each new member with a brief “elevator speech” about their business to all in attendance.
Formal presentation about the history of the LBA and all the benefits it has to offer.
Introduction to the Board of Directors, benefits to membership and networking.
6:30-7:30 p.m. – Join us for a fabulous networking mixer, appetizers, drinks, meet (new-members only) showcasing their businesses on 6 foot tables with 2 businesses per table, with table-top displays, marketing materials, food samples, demonstrations, drawings for great door prizes, as well as an hour of quality networking.
7:30- 8:00 p.m. – Come and sit with us for the certificate ceremony. Each new member will receive a plaque for their own business, a photo will be taken and an introduction of each new member’s business will be announced by a designated LBA representative(s).

The New Members Orientation is for LBA “new members” however current members are encouraged to attend. Reservations are required to participate.
