Biography of Martha Montoya
Martha Montoya is the owner and partner of three companies: Los Kitos Produce (farms, packing house and fruit grower/operator), Los Kitos Entertainment (a syndicated cartoon strip/content provider) and El Mundo Newspaper – Washington State’s largest and oldest Hispanic newspaper – which is leading several initiatives on a local and national level to advance the position of Minority-owned businesses. Martha has forged relationships with corporate America and State and Federal leaders to understand, and bring to the table candid conversations to find solutions for the business position of Minority-owned businesses.
Throughout the years, Martha has served on the board of several local, state and national organizations in the capacity of Procurement Chair, Access-to-Capital Chair as well as Regional Chair, while also being active in other posts including the Greenlining Institute and the State of California Governor’s Conference on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Steering Committee. She serves on the Executive Board of the United States Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
Advocating on behalf of those businesses and leading dialogues are the areas in which Martha has chosen to direct her efforts as the United States adjusts to new demographics in all aspects of society: Political, Media, International Trade, Home/Families and Business.
