Networking mixers enable corporate representatives to interact directly with members in an informal setting while also giving a stage to larger Latino companies and guest speakers to share their business knowledge with and opportunities for members. Attendance ranges from 150 to 450. Meetings are often followed by a reception.

Sponsors are often featured as guest speakers, have tables, are in mailings, and are included in the website and eNewsletter notices. Sponsors post a banner, display materials, distribute LBA-approved promotional items, and give 3-minute welcoming remarks. Sponsors have the option to participate in a pre-meeting business seminar or VIP panel.  There is a one-year free Corporate Membership for first-time participating non-member corporations.

On July 26th, 2008 The LBA celebrated over 30 years of awards.  The Sol Awards Gala is a premier Latino business-networking event.  This black-tie event involved a “who’s-who” of the Latino entrepreneurial, corporate, and political worlds.

The awards honored entrepreneurs and corporations for major contributions to the success of Latino business. The Gala consisted of a reception, presenter’s program, awards presentation, and dancing. Each attendee received an elegantly bound full-color program book with sponsor advertisements and LBA information.
